Circle and Alpen Labs are set to incorporate USDC along with the Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP) into Alpen. Once the mainnet is launched, this stablecoin will be available for loans secured by Bitcoin, yield products, and trading, eliminating the need to transfer Bitcoin to another network. USDC will be issued by regulated entities at Circle, while CCTP will facilitate transfers between Alpen and other supported networks without relying on wrapped versions of the token.
