Shapiro indicated a 50% chance of this happening, attributing the potential decline to concerns about AI undermining Bitcoin's security.
In response, Buterin emphasized that the risks of hash function vulnerabilities or flaws in the Proof-of-Work system are minimal. He is confident that the Bitcoin network can tackle any challenges through software updates without requiring unanimous agreement on rule changes from the community.
