The United Arab Emirates' Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority is incorporating Avalanche technology into the UAE PASS national identification system.

This service enables citizens, residents, and tourists to confirm their identities for signing documents and accessing both governmental and private services.

Avalanche blockchain protocol will serve as the infrastructure for the digital storage of the government platform.

According to UAE PASS's website, the system utilizes distributed ledgers for data storage and transmission.

Launched in 2018, the service now caters to over 12 million users and supports more than 15,000 services from 350 providers.

Following the announcement, the AVAX token saw a 1% increase, with a 2.5% rise over the day, reaching $7.5.
