Ukraine's Diia app now features an AI assistant to streamline access to government services.
The Ukrainian government has upgraded its Diia app by integrating a personal AI agent powered by Google's Gemini technology. This new feature aims to simplify access to various government services via a chat interface, as detailed on the app's official Telegram channel.
Users can now type 'Diia.AI' to receive guidance in selecting services relevant to their needs and to get recommendations for the next steps, eliminating the hassle of manual searches.
To activate the AI assistant, users must ensure their app is updated, after which it will be accessible from the bottom menu.
The AI assistant offers a range of functionalities, including:
- 24/7 support for inquiries related to Diia services;
- personalized service recommendations based on individual circumstances;
- the ability to generate registration certificates for adults and children directly through chat;
- updates on traffic violation fines;
- step-by-step guidance on processes like starting a sole proprietorship.
According to the developers, "Diia.AI" transcends traditional chatbots by not only providing answers but also facilitating actionable tasks.
This initiative follows the launch of what Ukraine claims to be the world’s first government AI agent in September, which was initially introduced in an open beta format. Furthermore, the Ukrainian government has partnered with Nvidia to explore the development of a sovereign artificial intelligence.
