Summary

  • A December 12, 2023, post on 4chan forecasted that Bitcoin would reach its peak on October 6, 2025, which it did.
  • The prediction also indicated the cycle's low would occur on October 5, 2026, with Bitcoin currently priced around $86,000, representing a 32% drop from its peak.
  • Bitcoin experienced a decline to approximately $57,000 earlier this year, and analyst Benjamin Cowen suggests a possible fourth-quarter low near $44,000.

On December 12, 2023, a user on 4chan with the handle SBC7H7La shared a screenshot revealing a remarkable pattern alongside a bold forecast that Bitcoin would hit its next peak on October 6, 2025.

This prediction came true when Bitcoin soared to an all-time high of just over $126,000 on that date. The reasoning was based on numerology, noting that previous cycles from lows to highs took 1,064 days, while highs to lows spanned 364 days, a pattern that had repeated itself twice already. The poster asserted that this trend would continue.

Myriad: Predict when Bitcoin will reach a new all-time high.

The prophecy held true, despite skepticism, as Bitcoin peaked at $126,198.07 on October 6, 2025.

However, after that peak, traders faced a challenging market. By late June, Bitcoin was trading at 52% below its peak. According to crypto asset manager 21Shares, this decline was less severe than the 80%-plus drops seen in prior bear markets.

Now, considering the latter part of the prediction, adding 364 days to October 6, 2025, brings us to October 5, 2026, which is today. Thus, according to the 4chan calculations, this is the anticipated bottom of the cycle.

While it’s wise not to rely solely on this assertion, one might argue that if it looks like a duck and trades like a duck…

This morning, Bitcoin is trading around $86,100, showing a bullish trend forming today. It remains nearly 30% lower than its peak but has risen about 2% today after a jobs report indicated the U.S. added only 29,000 jobs in September, significantly below the 90,000 forecasted by economists.

While this might appear negative, it actually suggests that the Federal Reserve is likely to maintain current interest rates rather than instituting further hikes. This environment of stable or lower rates is favorable for investors in risk assets like Bitcoin.

Bitcoin's price bottomed around $57,000 in July, meaning it is currently approximately 50% above that level.

Benjamin Cowen, a reputable analyst, believes that the accumulation phase began on July 1 and still sees a potential for another downturn. However, the technical outlook appears somewhat more optimistic.

Ultimately, trusting a random 4chan prediction might not be the best strategy, so it’s wise to consider various perspectives.
