Xanadu, a Canadian company, has unveiled a new method for optimizing quantum random access memory (QROM), which facilitates the loading of classical data into quantum algorithms. By combining two techniques, the company achieved a reduction of Toffoli gate counts by 3.9 times for 32-bit records compared to the conventional SelectSwap scheme. This innovation reportedly decreases data loading costs by 75% and may lower hardware overheads in complex simulations of chemical and physical processes.
