A user known as beaverd, who won $1 million in the X Creators contest, is suspected of being a scammer. This was reported by analysts from Bubblemaps.

According to researchers, a wallet associated with the user is linked to several rug pulls totaling over $600,000.

Self-identified crypto enthusiast beaverd caught analysts' attention after winning a contest for the best article on social media platform X. He wrote a piece about the role of a major U.S. consulting firm in federal and regional procurement.

By tracking the user's public address, Bubblemaps found connections to several coins that were dumped in a Pump and Dump scheme.

One of these is SIAS on Pump.Fun. The asset's market cap soared to $6 million before plummeting to zero. Four wallets linked to beaverd bought the token at launch and dumped it, collectively earning $600,000.

"Ironically, he never publicly mentioned SIAS on social media, yet he still swapped them from a public wallet for an additional $25,000," Bubblemaps added.

Analysts noted that SIAS is not the first scam incident associated with beaverd. He has been involved in "dozens" of launched coins that have completely lost their value.

The user has been launching fraudulent tokens over the past year, including projects like PISS, EGG, RACISM, and others.

In a thread under the Bubblemaps post, beaverd himself appeared and stated:

"Cry all you want. This isn't even in my top 5 hits."

Recall that in January, former New York City Mayor Eric Adams was accused of a rug pull following the collapse of the NYC Token.
