  • Donald Trump’s memecoin investors will have another opportunity to dine with the U.S. president, as the token's managers announce a “gala dinner” scheduled for November.
  • While Trump is confirmed to attend the event at his private club near Washington, D.C., the identities of the three additional "legends" mentioned on the promotional site remain undisclosed.
  • Past events have faced backlash from Democratic lawmakers, who criticize them as blatant corruption that favors those with substantial investments.

Investors in Donald Trump's memecoin are set for another opportunity to interact with the U.S. president, marking the third such event following previous dinners that have sparked controversy among Democratic lawmakers for allegedly commodifying access to the White House.

The top 185 investors of $TRUMP are invited to Trump's private club in Washington, D.C., on November 22, as stated by the event's managing organization. Investor engagement in the token will determine their VIP status, which will be finalized on November 12.

Upon the announcement of the "gala dinner," the price of the memecoin surged approximately 10% to $2.25 before retracting to its previous levels, which remain significantly lower than its peak of about $74.

This gathering is being promoted as the "most exclusive dinner in the world," featuring the promise of three unidentified "legends" joining Trump.

However, attendees should note that "no private meet & greet with the President" will be available, according to club guidelines. This stipulation has disappointed some previous participants, who had hoped for personal interaction with Trump.

Since the launch of his memecoin shortly before his return to office, investors have reportedly sustained losses in the billions, a topic that has gained attention amid discussions surrounding the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act in the Senate. Democratic lawmakers have pushed for restrictions on the digital asset connections of senior government officials, but this provision did not make it into the bill, which ultimately failed to progress last month.

Trump had expressed a willingness to consider some concessions, including placing his crypto assets in a blind trust or divesting them, yet negotiations fell apart following the bill's failure.

The inaugural Trump memecoin event also took place at his Washington-area golf club, where demonstrators, including members of Congress, protested outside, accusing Trump of corruption as guests entered the venue.

In April, Trump hosted a related conference at Mar-a-Lago in Florida for memecoin investors, featuring appearances from notable figures like former boxing champion Mike Tyson.

This upcoming event will provide top "VIPs" with gifts, including a commemorative poster and a "TRUMP fragrance." The current registrant list indicates that leading investors are holding hundreds of thousands of coins each.
