President Donald Trump has appointed Jay Clayton, the Director of National Intelligence, as the coordinator for artificial intelligence policy, according to The Wall Street Journal. Clayton will lead a task force named the Super Intelligence Force, which is tasked with assessing the risks and opportunities of AI technology within a 120-day timeframe. The group will also recommend measures to improve government responses to hacks, data breaches, and other incidents. Previously, this role was held by venture capitalist David Sachs within the administration.
