The Financial Supervisory Commission of Taiwan has proposed implementing the Travel Rule for all cryptocurrency transfers between local platforms starting in October, regardless of the amount. For transactions exceeding 30,000 New Taiwan Dollars (approximately $930), the sender will need to provide their date of birth and residential address, while the platform will have to supply its registration number and legal address. The receiving platform is required to verify the recipient's information against its own records. These amendments will undergo a 30-day public consultation, and the requirements for transfers involving foreign platforms will extend until the end of 2027.
