The Sui Foundation has committed $30 million to the DATA Network, a protocol focused on tracking data provenance and usage rights for AI training. As part of the agreement, DATA Network will abandon its own blockchain in favor of the Sui platform, with DATA tokens being migrated to the new network at a 1:1 ratio. Additionally, the decentralized platform Walrus will serve as the primary data repository for applications developed by the DATA Foundation. Following this investment, the Sui Foundation will become the largest institutional investor in the DATA Network.
