Asset management firm Strive has made a significant investment by purchasing 1,110 Bitcoin, valued at approximately $87.5 million, last week. This acquisition was funded through the issuance of additional common and preferred shares as part of its treasury management strategy.
Founded in 2022 by Vivek Ramaswamy, Strive's Bitcoin holdings grew by 5.5% from August 17 to August 21. However, due to the new share issuance, the Bitcoin per fully diluted share—which indicates how much Bitcoin each share represents—only saw a modest increase of about 1.4%.

Share your prediction.According to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission dated August 24, Strive paid an average price of $73,409 per Bitcoin, including associated fees. This purchase increased its Bitcoin holdings from 20,246 BTC to 21,356 BTC, amounting to approximately $1.7 billion in total value.
Strive capitalized on at-the-market offerings, which enable companies to sell newly issued shares at prevailing market prices.

The number of Class A shares increased by 3,646,300, representing a 4.8% rise, bringing the total to 79,890,888. Additionally, 441,313 shares of SATA, Strive's perpetual preferred stock, were issued, marking a 5.6% increase to 8,270,815 shares in total.
During this period, SATA traded at or above its face value of $100, enabling Strive to issue the preferred shares without underpricing them.
As of August 21, Strive's cash and cash equivalents totaled $171.9 million, up from $154.8 million just a week prior, even after executing the Bitcoin purchases.
This development occurs alongside other major corporate holders of Bitcoin who are also expanding their reserves. For instance, Japan’s Metaplanet has accumulated 43,000 BTC after acquiring 2,823 BTC in the second quarter, while Strategy holds 840,447 BTC.
