  • Strategy is keeping the dividend on its STRC preferred stock at 12%.
  • Historically, the company has raised the STRC dividend when the stock trades significantly below its par value.
  • CEO Phong Le stated this week that the goal is for STRC to reach a trading price of $99-$100 over time.

Shareholders of Strategy’s (MSTR) preferred stock STRC will not experience a dividend increase for August.

Led by Executive Chairman Michael Saylor, the company has decided to maintain the existing 12% dividend rate.

Investors in STRC may have anticipated a potential increase of up to 50 basis points, as it is customary for Strategy to boost the dividend whenever the stock trades significantly below its par value ($100) during the month.

In fact, on July 1, the dividend was raised by 50 basis points after STRC had dropped to as low as $71 in June.

This increase, along with Strategy's sale of some bitcoin to support dividends and a slight recovery in bitcoin prices, contributed to STRC's rise to $89.46 in July, although this remains below par.

CEO Phong Le mentioned yesterday that Strategy aims for STRC to trade around $99-$100 in the future.

Despite this, the company is not obligated to increase the dividend and opted not to do so this month.
