Spotify is set to introduce an AI Persona label for artificial intelligence musicians. Starting mid-September, this icon will appear in the profiles, search results, and playlists of these artists.
The key change is that AI-generated artists will be completely removed from the platform's algorithmic and editorial recommendations. Their tracks will not be included in listener playlists unless users follow the artist directly.
This labeling focuses on the public image of the artists rather than their music creation methods. The platform aims to protect itself from low-quality spam and to support genuine creators.
