The user's equipment operated for about eight hours with an average hash rate of 995.2 GH/s, roughly 1 TH/s. At this power level, the chance of finding a block is approximately once every 18,000 years. This marks the second known instance of a Bitaxe finding a solo block via Public Pool.
Bitaxe is an open ASIC miner built on the Bitmain BM1370 chip, which is also used in industrial Antminer S21 setups. The Bitaxe Gamma series devices produce between 1 to 1.3 TH/s while consuming 15-21 watts, priced between $60 and $150.
Since the beginning of 2026, solo miners have discovered 12 blocks. The most recent, on June 29, was mined by a participant in Solo CKPool, earning a reward of 3.16 BTC.
On May 31, a miner found a block using a cluster of 14 Canaan Nano devices with a total hash rate of 157 TH/s through the Braiins Solo service.
Source: Bennet. In total, over the past 12 months, solo miners have found 24 blocks, a 41% increase compared to the previous year. The total payouts amounted to 75.44 BTC, with an average interval of 15.2 days between discoveries, and the longest gap being 58 days.

Amid worsening conditions in the industry, many Bitcoin mining companies are accelerating their transition into the artificial intelligence sector.
