The Solana-based platform DoubleZero is enhancing its low-latency market data offerings by incorporating the order book from prediction market Kalshi, aiming to cater to the needs of institutional traders.

DoubleZero Seeks to Fulfill Institutional Needs with Kalshi Integration

According to the DoubleZero Foundation, this integration will enable trading firms to access a machine-readable representation of Kalshi's prediction market, which can assist in pricing, hedging, and generating signals on Solana, a significant layer-1 blockchain.

The foundation characterized DoubleZeroEdge as a transport layer that transmits live exchange and on-chain data using dedicated fiber optics, ensuring simultaneous distribution of this information to all connected traders.

In the traditional finance sector, institutions typically rely on specialized networks for rapid data access, whereas crypto traders predominantly use standard internet connections. DoubleZero aims to bridge this gap with its unique on-chain system.

"This distribution model has supported traditional financial exchanges, including the NYSE, Nasdaq, and CME, for decades," the foundation stated in a recent email announcement.

Kalshi's prediction market offers insights into macroeconomic indicators, such as interest rate adjustments and inflation trends, as well as geopolitical events and asset price fluctuations. These insights can lead to swift price changes within milliseconds of their release, highlighting the necessity for a Kalshi feed integrated into the on-chain data framework.

Kalshi, recognized as one of the largest prediction markets globally—alongside Polymarket—will initially provide its most actively traded contracts, including crypto perpetual futures. These allow traders to speculate on asset prices without any expiration.

DoubleZero's goal is to furnish traders with a comprehensive view of Kalshi through a single low-latency connection, as articulated in their announcement.
