Samsung has launched its own browser for Windows featuring agent capabilities powered by Perplexity.
This tool "enhances the popular PC browser with seamless device integration and new AI-driven features designed to make web surfing easier and more intuitive."
The Samsung Browser on Windows allows users to continue their work when switching from mobile devices, supporting bookmark and browsing history synchronization.
Integration with Samsung Pass enables secure storage of personal data, website logins, and automatic form filling.
AI Agent
The company has implemented AI agent features in partnership with Perplexity. The browser understands natural language, page context, and tab activity, simplifying information searches and task execution.
"The intelligence level goes beyond answering questions—it allows users to manage tabs, navigate history, and remain productive without leaving the browser," the announcement states.
The Samsung Browser analyzes page context and offers more relevant solutions. For instance, when planning a trip, users can request a four-day itinerary based on the open tab. The browser will analyze the content and create a structured plan.
Its natural language understanding enables the browser to provide needed information more quickly. It can analyze video content, find specific moments in a video, and play them.
The search functionality has also been enhanced. Instead of using keywords or dates, users can simply state what they need to find.
The browser can analyze and compare information from multiple tabs.
The Samsung Browser is available on devices running Windows 11 and Windows 10 (version 1809 and above). The agent features have launched in South Korea and the United States, with plans for geographic expansion.
As a reminder, in February, Samsung introduced its new S26 smartphone lineup, with artificial intelligence as a central feature of the devices.
