The Prosecutor General's Office of Russia has recognized the activities of the cryptocurrency exchange WhiteBit, along with its affiliated and subsidiary organizations, as undesirable within the country.

"This European cryptocurrency trading platform is used by crypto exchanges and exchangers to carry out various 'gray' schemes for withdrawing funds from Russia, as well as other illegal activities," the agency stated on its website.

At the time of writing, the exchange had not issued any public comments.

WhiteBit was founded in 2018 by entrepreneur Vladimir Nosov and is registered in Lithuania.

Recall that in April 2025, Roskomnadzor blocked the domains of the crypto exchange aggregator BestChange.
