The co-founder and leader of Reform UK, Nigel Farage, received financial support from George Cottrill, who was convicted of fraud and is linked to the offshore crypto betting platform Tether.bet, according to The Sunday Times.
Investigations reveal that prior to Farage's election as MP for Clacton on July 4, 2024, Cottrill funded his private security, drivers, social media staff, and accommodation.
UK House of Commons rules require MPs to declare gifts and services related to political activities valued over £300 received within 12 months before taking office.
