Ray Dalio, the founder of Bridgewater Associates, has advised investors to consider holding "a bit of Bitcoin" and to allocate 10-15% of their portfolios to gold, citing the increasing US national debt. He predicts that a debt crisis could unfold in approximately three years.

Dalio believes that a decline in demand for US Treasury bonds will compel authorities to raise yields or to stimulate debt buybacks through money printing. This latter scenario could exacerbate inflation and weaken the dollar, which in turn would benefit both gold and Bitcoin.
