Quantum eMotion (QNC) has announced the submission of its eCore-Q PCIe for evaluation under the NIST Cryptographic Module Validation Program (CMVP). Lightship Security conducted a preliminary assessment of the module. If successful, the module will receive certification per standard SP 800-90B, enabling its use in systems certified under FIPS 140-3.
QNC's CEO, Francis Bellido, emphasized that independent validation is crucial for building customer trust and accessing regulated markets. The technology is based on a patented quantum random number generator. While the application initiates the CMVP process, it does not guarantee outcomes or timelines.
