The Central Bank of the Philippines has implemented new regulations governing cryptocurrency listings by licensed virtual asset service providers. A key provision of these rules is the prohibition of privacy-focused cryptocurrencies on trading platforms.

Virtual asset service providers must assess potential listings against six specific criteria: information about the issuer, market maturity, practical use cases, transparency and security measures, liquidity and reserves, as well as compliance with legal standards. Moreover, these platforms are obligated to monitor existing listings and set clear conditions for the suspension of trading or delisting of assets.
