David Wells, the CEO of Ondo Finance, emphasized that current U.S. regulations permit the launch of perpetual futures on individual stocks without the need for new rules. However, he did not confirm any plans for Ondo Perps to enter the U.S. market. The company has suggested to the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission that these instruments be considered under the framework of security futures. At present, Ondo Perps is only available outside of the United States.
