The Sultanate of Oman has officially established a national mining pool that requires all licensed cryptocurrency miners within its borders to participate. This initiative, spearheaded by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, is executed in partnership with Frontier Technologies, while Enegix Global supplies the necessary technological framework and liquidity support.
Initially, the mining pool aims to consolidate approximately 10 EH/s of computational power. Since 2022, the Salalah free zone has attracted over $700 million in investments for mining and data center development, which includes a significant $370 million hydro-cooled mining facility.
