Luke Dash Jr., a developer, has been stripped of his role as the editor for Bitcoin Improvement Proposals (BIP) following allegations of misconduct related to the controversial BIP-110. He attempted to assign a proposal number before discussions had commenced and conducted the first merger in the repository since May 2024, despite contributing less than 1% of comments since April of that year. The proposal garnered a mere 2.6% support from miners, falling short of the required 55%, and stalled after the mining of just two blocks.
In addition, Dash Jr. has announced a creative leave from his positions as chair and technical director of the mining pool Ocean.
