The cryptocurrency exchange Kraken has introduced the ability for users in the European Economic Area (EEA) to trade US stocks. This service is commission-free and is available through the Kraken app, operated by the company's Cypriot subsidiary under a MiFID II license.
According to Kraken's management, this launch positions the exchange as the only crypto platform offering EEA clients access to both traditional US-listed stocks and their tokenized counterparts (xStocks) within a single regulated account.
