Germany's Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Digital and Modernization of Public Administration, and the Federal Office for Information Security have jointly released recommendations for transitioning to post-quantum cryptography. They advise government agencies, businesses, and critical infrastructure operators to assess quantum risks and develop migration strategies. Systems deemed high-risk should migrate to quantum-resistant algorithms by the end of 2030, with the overall transition expected to be completed by 2035. This initiative aligns with the EU roadmap and aims to safeguard information against potential future quantum attacks.
