Fairshake, a political action committee focused on cryptocurrency, has announced its support for 32 House incumbents ahead of the November elections, distributing around $1 million to three candidates from each party.

The super PAC disclosed its list of candidates, highlighting the significance of their congressional positions.

The cryptocurrency industry's prominent political action committee, Fairshake, has revealed a list of 32 incumbent candidates it is backing in the upcoming elections, which includes 19 Republicans and 13 Democrats. These candidates are primarily considered secure in their seats, which could bolster the crypto industry's ties with influential lawmakers.

According to a spokesperson for Fairshake, six candidates will each receive $1 million in support from the PAC and its affiliates.

“Fairshake has always been and always will be an issue-focused organization," stated Geoff Vetter, a spokesperson for the PAC. "We support pro-crypto candidates who advocate for American innovation, regardless of party affiliation.”

Among the notable Republican beneficiaries are French Hill, the chair of the House Financial Services Committee, who has been a significant advocate for crypto legislation; Bill Huizenga, a senior committee member; and Bryan Steil, who chairs the subcommittee on digital assets.

On the Democratic side, primary support is directed towards Steven Horsford, a Nevada representative who played a crucial role in advancing a bipartisan crypto tax bill through the House tax committee, and Derek Tran from California. Both legislators have received an "A" rating from Stand With Crypto regarding digital asset issues, alongside Oregon's Janelle Bynum.

Bynum, who previously defeated Republican Lori Chavez-DeRemer, has shown support for crypto legislation during her term and participated in the Digital Chamber's DC Blockchain Summit earlier this year.

Fairshake's current list of candidates is strategically aligned for future legislative efforts, with many serving on the House Ways and Means Committee, which addresses crypto tax matters, as well as the House Financial Services Committee. Candidates from agriculture, science, and judiciary panels, all pivotal for upcoming crypto legislation, are also included.

Vetter noted that Fairshake has successfully supported 53 out of 57 candidates in the primary elections and aims to establish "the largest pro-crypto caucus in American history." In these primaries, the PAC has often backed candidates from the likely winning party, a strategy that proved effective in previous elections.

While the House has not posed the greatest legislative challenges for the crypto sector, the U.S. Senate passed a significant bill, the Guiding and Establishing National Innovation for U.S. Stablecoins Act (GENIUS) Act, last year. However, efforts for a more crucial market structure bill have not met with the same success.

Despite the setback of the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act last month, Fairshake has not initiated a campaign to unseat senators who opposed the bill, which included all Democrats and several Republicans. The PAC's main opposition campaign is aimed at former Senator Sherrod Brown, who previously led a crypto-hostile Senate Banking Committee and is attempting to return to the Senate. Fairshake has committed approximately $30 million to defeat him, with an additional $3 million from a PAC associated with Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss.

Fairshake's funding has primarily focused on independent advertising buys, avoiding direct mentions of crypto in its ads, instead concentrating on issues deemed more likely to resonate with voters.
