Devin Kim, a former engineer at xAI, has initiated legal action against both xAI and SpaceX, alleging wrongful termination following his complaints regarding the safety of the Grok chatbot. In his lawsuit filed in California, Kim asserts that he was dismissed in September 2025 after voicing concerns about potential discrimination and the chatbot's capability to disseminate sensitive information, including details related to weapons of mass destruction.
Kim has specifically named xAI co-founder Jimmy Ba as an individual who allegedly attempted to suppress his warnings. As of now, neither xAI nor SpaceX has provided any comments regarding the lawsuit.
