Coinbase Ventures Becomes Most Active Crypto Investor of the Half-Year

Coinbase Ventures ranked first among crypto venture firms in terms of deal volume in the first half of 2026, according to CryptoRank. During this period, the exchange's division completed 30 investments.

Following Coinbase are Animoca Brands with 19 deals, a16z with 18, and Tether with 15. Amid a bear market, crypto financing dropped to $1.4 billion in June from $3.8 billion in April, while the number of unique investors fell to 242 from 452 in October 2025.
