Myriad: What’s the next price move for Ethereum? Make your prediction here.Chairman Tom Lee mentioned that Bitmine is 96% of the way to achieving its "Alchemy of 5%" goal, which it set 14 months ago when it began acquiring ETH on a weekly basis. (Note: Tom Lee is also an investor in Dastan, the parent company of Decrypt.)
Lee stated, "This ratio has moved above the long-term downtrend observed over the past few years and indicates that markets are starting to see the emergence of tokenization and agentic-AI applications, which should favor Ethereum. We anticipate that easing financial conditions will act as a positive influence for crypto."
In addition to its Ethereum holdings, Bitmine owns 210 Bitcoin, valued at approximately $13.4 million, along with $78 million in cash and securities, and stakes in Beast Industries and Eightco Holdings worth $180 million and $73 million, respectively. The company has also staked 5,067,309 ETH through its MAVAN validator network.
Since launching its treasury strategy last summer, Bitmine has consistently purchased ETH every week. In April, it executed two purchases totaling around $235 million each, including a direct acquisition of 10,000 ETH from the Ethereum Foundation, surpassing the 5 million ETH mark in its holdings.
In June, during a crypto selloff that Lee described as "superficial," Bitmine purchased an additional $214 million in ETH. In July, it followed up with another acquisition worth $49 million. By early August, Bitmine's share of Ethereum's circulating supply remained at 4.8%.
Currently, Ethereum's price has increased by approximately 1.4%, trading above $1,900. Traders on Myriad, the prediction market developed by Decrypt's parent company, are largely bearish on the token, currently assigning a 75% likelihood that ETH will drop back to $1.5k before potentially rising to $3k per token.
