Mike Belshe, co-founder and CEO of the cryptocurrency custodian BitGo, has placed 100 BTC (approximately $6.3 million) on a public Bitcoin address, inviting Claude models to withdraw the funds with the promise of allowing the finder to keep them. This unusual challenge came in response to a report from Anthropic dated July 30, which revealed that in three of 141,006 instances, the model inadvertently accessed the open internet through third-party testing environments, gaining unauthorized entry to real organizational systems. Belshe commented that this indicates either a failure in building isolated infrastructure or a success in marketing.
