Bitget and blockchain company BlockSec have released a joint research report titled "UEX Security Standard". The document outlines a systematic approach to protecting exchanges that operate with crypto assets, tokenized instruments, and traditional financial markets under a single account.

The report targets market participants who are building the next generation of trading infrastructure for various asset classes. It highlights five key benchmarks:

  1. Verified solvency. Bitget publishes monthly Proof-of-Reserves reports with a coverage ratio of 163% and verification through Merkle trees. Users can independently verify balances.
  2. Risk isolation between asset classes. A multi-layered risk management logic considers the characteristics of each market. Concentration limits and liquidation strategies based on liquidity prevent shocks in one asset from spreading across the platform.
  3. Data and privacy protection. Control is based on classifying data by sensitivity level rather than origin. Cross-border access is regulated with the involvement of security, legal, and compliance departments.
  4. Dynamic monitoring. Artificial intelligence is used to detect anomalies, with data being de-identified for external models.
  5. Application and infrastructure resilience. Zero-trust principles, multi-cloud deployments, and regular disaster recovery drills ensure operational continuity.

Collaboration with BlockSec enhances security through real-time monitoring, proactive security testing, incident response readiness, AML checks, and tracking of fund movements.

"The shift to universal exchanges changes the very nature of security risks. We can no longer limit ourselves to protecting individual assets or reacting after the fact. Security must operate at a systemic level: risks need to be identified in advance, isolation must be built into the architecture, and solutions must be tested in real conditions," said Bitget CEO Gracy Chen.

Over the past year, the exchange's security service has processed more than 8,000 daily alerts related to suspicious logins and atypical on-chain activity. Simultaneously, over 2,000 targeted attacks have been neutralized, including phishing infrastructure and impersonation attempts.
