Cryptocurrency exchange Binance is ramping up hiring and training employees to work with its proprietary AI tools. Amid layoffs in the tech sector, Binance has opened over 380 positions, with 20% of new hires in 2026 focused on developing AI-based products, according to a blog post from the exchange.
According to Binance, tech companies cut 52,050 jobs in the first quarter of 2026—40% more than in the same period last year. Unlike the broader trend, the exchange is not replacing employees with AI but is integrating new technologies into team workflows.
Three Internal AI Tools
Binance has integrated three proprietary tools into its daily operations:
- SAFUGPT — an internal GPT assistant;
- Hexa — a no-code platform for creating AI tools and agents without programming skills;
- Clawbot — a service for automating routine tasks.
According to the company, the adoption rate of Clawbot among employees has reached 72%, while Hexa stands at 57%.
28 Trainings and 87% Engagement
In 2026, Binance conducted 28 AI training sessions across eight modules. The schedule was adapted for a distributed team across different time zones.
The program includes two tracks on prompt engineering and four courses on Clawbot (16 sessions total). The participation rate for Clawbot training was 87%. Since December 2025, the exchange has been publishing weekly AI newsletters for employees—materials that can be read in three minutes.
Binance teams held 13 internal sessions discussing Clawbot use cases and 3 demo sessions for Hexa, where employees showcased how they apply AI tools to real tasks.
Simultaneously, the exchange is building internal knowledge bases with catalogs of SAFUGPT and Hexa use cases. These libraries document practical scenarios for AI implementation across different departments and assist other teams in scaling successful solutions.
In December 2025, Binance received the ISO/IEC 42001 certification—an international standard for responsible AI management. The company employs a Privacy by Design approach when implementing AI systems and supplements training with modules on ethics and safety.
