The National Bank of the Republic of Belarus has adopted a document outlining the list of cryptocurrencies permitted for crypto banks and the procedures for transactions involving them. This was announced by Alexander Egorov, the deputy chairman of the regulator, as reported by Sputnik.

The regulations are introduced under the decree "On Crypto Banks and Certain Issues of Control in the Field of Digital Signs (Tokens)".

The initial list includes 26 digital assets, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Toncoin, and several stablecoins.

The National Bank has also defined 11 permissible operations with cryptocurrencies: deposits, loans, pledges, staking, transfers between individuals or legal entities, issuance of proprietary tokens by crypto banks, exchanges, storage, and more.

Clarifying the procedures for these operations is considered one of the most crucial aspects for financial companies, as it impacts accounting and other business operations.

Egorov noted that the presented list is "not yet closed." According to him, during discussions of the document with the High-Tech Park (HTP), it was planned to keep it "dynamic" with the possibility of updates as they engage with investors.

Recall that in February, Belarus announced plans to legalize cryptocurrency transactions for self-employed individuals.
