The Bank of Russia has officially added Sberbank to its registry of organizations permitted to exchange digital currencies. This decision, made on October 12, allows the bank to buy and sell crypto assets in its own name and at its own expense, outside of organized trading venues. Previously, Sberbank began testing operations involving Bitcoin, Ethereum, and USDT, and it plans to launch related services for clients by December 1. The final timelines and the list of available assets will depend on regulatory requirements from the Bank of Russia.
