Anthropic has dispatched its senior technical team to Washington to engage in discussions regarding export limitations affecting its AI models, Fable 5 and Mythos 5, according to reports from WSJ and Axios.
The startup's experts have been participating in virtual meetings with representatives from the White House since initial outreach by the administration. On June 12, U.S. authorities mandated that access to these models be restricted for all foreign nationals, including foreign employees of Anthropic, both within and outside the country. In response to this directive, the company has temporarily disabled Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all users.
